We are currently hiring for our location in Rancho Mission Viejo - 28206 Airoso Street, Rancho Mission Viejo, CA 92694 and Mission Viejo - 23854 Via Fabricante Unit G4, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
Our Available Work Shifts:
Monday-Friday 9:00am-12:00pm and 2:45pm-7:00pm
Saturday-Sunday 9:00am-1:30pm
Candidates must be available to train starting Monday, February 2 - Friday, February 13, 2026
Evolution Swim Academy is the premier learn-to-swim school is Orange County. Creating safer and more confident swimmers is our ultimate goal. Our curriculum is crafted to seamlessly teach our students how to survive and thrive in the water. We offer comprehensive and fun swim classes for children of all ages.
Our certified instructors employ creative and engaging teaching methods that allow children to learn proper swim technique while playing games and making lots of new friends! All of our Swim Instructors attend a comprehensive, two-week training course to learn about our culture, core values and programs. This training also includes a hands-on approach to learning our in-house curriculum developed by Evolution Swim Academy founder and two-time Olympian, Felipe Delgado. Our Instructors will learn how to teach our six Safety Levels and four Stoke Technique Levels. We offer additional training for Instructors who want to teach Parent & Me Lessons.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete all required new instructor training and participate in quarterly instructor trainings, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching
- Enforce safety guidelines and protocol to ensure the safety of our students and team members
- Maintain constant, active supervision of swimmers to ensure safety at all times
- Build swimmer confidence by celebrating progress, encouraging effort, and fostering independence
- Adapt instruction to meet individual swimmer needs and learning styles
- Bring value to our clients through impeccable customer service and positive attitude
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and caregivers regarding swimmer progress and goals
- Treat every swimmer, family and colleague with care, respect, and professionalism
- Represent Evolution Swim positively within the community and support water safety education initiatives
- Create fun, engaging lessons that make swimming a positive and memorable experience
- Celebrate milestones, achievements, and progress with swimmers and families
Individuals must complete the Evolution Swim Academy Basic Instructor Training that covers Company History, Core Values, Program Overview and Curriculum for Starfish 1 through Swim Stars 4 Levels. Upon completion of training, individuals will receive the Evolution Swim Academy Swim Instructor Certification.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Individuals should have experience working with children in the aquatic environment or in another setting with similar experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, class schedules and swim lesson curriculum. Ability to occassionally write routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of children and communicate briefly with their parents/guardians.
