Evolution Swim Academy is hiring year-round, part-time Swim Instructors to join our amazing team in Mission Viejo and Rancho Mission Viejo!

• Monday–Friday mornings: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Monday–Friday afternoons/evenings: 2:30 PM–7:15 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:40 AM–2:00 PM

Rancho Mission Viejo

• Monday–Friday afternoons/evenings: 2:30 PM–7:15 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:40 AM–2:00 PM

💦 WHO WE ARE

Evolution Swim Academy is a premier learn-to-swim school in Orange County with one ultimate goal: creating safer, more confident swimmers.

Our curriculum is designed to seamlessly teach children how to survive, thrive, and have fun in the water. We offer comprehensive and engaging swim lessons for children of all ages and abilities.

Our instructors use creative, positive, and engaging teaching methods that help children learn proper swim technique while building confidence and having FUN!

Every new Swim Instructor completes our comprehensive training program covering our company culture, core values, programs, safety standards, and proprietary swim curriculum developed by Evolution Swim Academy founder and two-time Olympian Felipe Delgado.

You'll receive hands-on training in how to teach our six Safety Levels and four Stroke Technique Levels, with additional training opportunities available for instructors interested in teaching Parent & Me classes.

Upon successful completion of training, you'll earn your Evolution Swim Academy Swim Instructor Certification.

As an Evolution Swim Instructor, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference every time you step onto the pool deck.

You'll:

• Create fun, engaging, and memorable swim lessons
• Teach children essential swimming and water-safety skills
• Build swimmer confidence by celebrating progress and encouraging independence
• Adapt your teaching style to meet each swimmer's individual needs
• Maintain constant, active supervision of swimmers
• Enforce safety guidelines and protocols
• Provide exceptional customer service to our swimmers and families
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and caregivers about swimmer progress
• Celebrate milestones and achievements—big and small!
• Treat every swimmer, family, and teammate with care, respect, and professionalism
• Represent Evolution Swim Academy positively in the community
• Participate in quarterly instructor trainings and continue developing your skills

Previous experience working with children, swimming, coaching, teaching, childcare, camps, recreation, or aquatics is a plus, but it is not required.

🏊 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing this job, instructors regularly work in and around the pool in a moderately loud environment. Instructors must be able to:

• Stand for up to five hours
• Walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Use their hands and arms to assist swimmers
• Lift, handle, and support children weighing up to 50 pounds
• Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and team members

💰 PAY & POSITION

Job Type: Part-time, year-round
Starting Pay: $17.50/hour
PLUS guaranteed quarterly pay raises
